VCF Foundation Director General, Teo Swee Wei, this week visited the mural spaces in Sueca and Riba-roja del Túria, as part of preparations for the I Concurso de la Ruta de Arte Urbano del Valencia CF art competition. In Sueca, he was accompanied by the Mayor, Dimas Vázquez, the Councillor for Sport, Celia Beltrán, and Xavi Pascual on behalf of the Diputación de València; and in Riba-Roja del Túria he was joined by Mayor, Robert Raga Gadea, and also Xavi Pascual.
This contest is the result of the collaboration between the VCF Foundation and the Valencia Diputación, through València Turisme, with aim of promoting the incorporation of quality urban art as a channel for cultural and artistic expression, creating an outstanding tourist itinerary in the province of Valencia.
Cullera, Sueca and Riba-roja del Túria are the three towns selected to host two separate mural exhibitions. Interested artists have until August 21st to present their candidacies.
